The scope of this includes In Service Inspection and Fabrication Inspection of Pressure Equipment (Boilers & Pressure Vessels).

This requires AAI to adhere to the highest standards of competence, training and education, along with personal and professional conduct. We gladly adhere to a Code of Ethics and a Code of Practice, and commit ourselves to ongoing professional development.

This status is based on rigorous external audit of our procedures and staff. The requirements of ISO 17020 / EN 45004 are also key to our accreditation.

AAI is recognised by the Occupational Safety & Health Service of the Department of Labour, New Zealand as an Overseas Inspection Body. This allows us to undertake inspection of pressure equipment for export making us your first choice for all of your inspection needs.



Doug WallisOur Technical Director, Doug Wallis is a Chartered Professional Engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Australia.

Doug has been a member of various standards committees for many years and is the author of significant sections of an international in-service inspection standard.  He also holds other honorary pro bono positions including Senior Examiner of pressure equipment inspectors and NATA Technical Assessor.
